2024年の秋に、北海道にある、猛禽類研究所「IRBJ」の活動支援のために集まったプロボノ（無償でプロフェッショナルが動く）チームの一員として、釧路を訪れた体験から生まれた、4曲入りのEP『Eagle Eye』

傷ついた鳥たちの救護、自然と共生するための“環境治療”、そして彼らを支える人々の姿――その現場を目の当たりにした日々が、この作品の源になっています。

初日に運び込まれた一羽のタンチョウは、治療の甲斐なく息を引き取りました。その静かな死を前に、自然の厳しさと、人が手を差し伸べる意味を深く考えさせられました。

「人間も生きていかねばならない。その中で、どう共生していけるかが本当のテーマ」という言葉は、EP全体の芯になっています。

本作、Eagle Eyeを使用したコンセプトMVを使ったIRBJのクラウドファンディングは、目標額の230%を達成し、5,141人、8,089万円の資金を調達。2026年のクラファンオーディエンス賞を獲得しました。

この楽曲「Eagle Eye」を軸に、新たに制作した3曲を加えた全4曲。湿原の気配、風が運ぶ鳥たちのまなざし──そんな“生きものたちの視点”を音の中に閉じ込めました。

“Eagle Eye” is a four-track EP born from an experience at the IRBJ Raptor Research Institute in the wetlands of Kushiro, Hokkaido.

Witnessing the rescue of injured birds, the practice of environmental treatment to prevent future harm, and the quiet dedication of the staff became the emotional foundation of this work.

On the first day, an injured red-crowned crane was brought in. Despite all efforts, the bird passed away.Facing that fragile moment revealed both the harshness of nature and the meaning of human intervention.

A guiding insight from IRBJ’s leader—“Humans must also survive. Within that reality, the true theme is how we coexist.”—became the core of this EP.

Built around a track originally composed for IRBJ’s charity project, the EP includes three additional pieces created afterward.

The music captures the atmosphere of the wetlands, the trembling of the wind, and the quiet gaze of the birds—an invitation to listen from the perspective of the living beings who inhabit that land.
