新潟オーベルジュ「Né」
「Ne」は、日本語で「根」、フランス語で「生まれた」を意味す
る。
この地に生まれ、根ざし、そして還る。自然と人がともに生きてきた証としての「根づく風景」を半年間に渡って採集した。
食が、新潟の恵みだけを使い、その土地に根ざした知恵と文化を再解釈することで「旬」や「コース」という枠を超えていくように。
建築が、木と土に包まれ、大地と同じリズムで呼吸をして「ただそこに在ること」の豊かさを感じられるように。
映像では、時や物質、感覚といった人間が定めた「境界」を超えて、この世のすべてがゆらゆらと蠢き溶け合いながら生きている、そんな「間（あわい）」から生まれる世界を追いかけた。
音楽は、高速 1bit録音という限りなくアナログ=滑らかに近いデジタル方式で現地の環境音を録音。目を閉じても感じられる、音と音の間に漂う豊かな余白、波のようにゆらめく響き、アナログの温もりをまといながら、無限の空間を旅するような体験を目指した。
この地で、あなた自身の身体と感性でNeを感じてもらいたいという願いを込めて。
“Né” carries a double meaning: in Japanese, it signifies
“root,” while in French it means “born.”
It speaks of being born in this land, taking root here, and ultimately returning. Over the course of half a year, we gathered scenes of landscapes “rooted” in the lives where nature and humanity have coexisted.
Just as the cuisine, crafted solely from Niigata’s natural bounty, reinterprets the wisdom and culture of this land to transcend the conventional boundaries of
“seasonality” and “course.”
Just as the architecture, enveloped in wood and earth, breathes in harmony with the rhythm of the land, allowing one to feel the profound grace of simply being there.
In the film, we sought to move beyond the human-drawn boundaries of time, matter, and sensation, to follow a world that arises from the i (A-wa-i) the space in between-where all that exists in this world wavers, stirs, and gently blends together.
The music, recorded using the cutting-edge yet analog-like smoothness of 1-bit high-resolution technology, captures the raw sounds of the land. It invites you to a journey through infinite space: the fullness that lies in the silence between tones, the shimmering resonance of waves, and the warmth of analog textures—all perceivable with closed eyes.
It is our hope that, here on this land, you will experience Né through your own senses and being.
